What you’re in for

Urban Trail Series race on the County Durham coast. From Noses Point in Seaham the 10K runs through the Durham Wildlife Trust and National Trust woodland of Hawthorn Dene, then along the bays at Hawthorn Hive and Blast Beach. The area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, so littering rules are strict. A 5K takes in the dene but not the bays. The course is taped and marshalled with a checkpoint at 4 miles on the 10K, and there is about 200m of climbing. Registration is at Noses Point and parking at Spectrum Business Park. Both distances have a 2-hour limit.
