What you’re in for
The shorter of the two Wooler Trail races, run the day after the marathon. From Wooler Hostel it heads into the northern Cheviot foothills to a checkpoint at Yeavering Bell and back, about 14 miles with roughly 740m of climbing, almost all off-road on hill paths and moorland. The course is marked with tape and signs, but mandatory kit includes map and compass, survival blanket, waterproof and full-length leggings, as November conditions can be wet, frozen or snowy. There is a 4-hour limit and a cut-off at Yeavering Bell. Parking is at Wooler Auction Mart.
