The course
What you’re in for
Day four of the MTC Severn Challenge, also open as a single race. From the Travelodge in Worcester it follows the Severn Way south through Upton-upon-Severn and Tewkesbury to Gloucester. It then runs beside the widening estuary past Epney and Frampton-on-Severn to finish at the Travelodge near Stonehouse. This is one of the flatter stages, on riverside path and floodplain fields that can be wet in February. The course is not marked, so use the GPX or the organiser's directions and maps. Four checkpoints close on a 4 mph schedule. The start hotel has no car park, though Worcester station is close.
