What you’re in for
A one-day event on the Worcestershire Way, with four distances that each start at a different point on the line and all finish at Abberley Village Hall. The 47-mile course climbs over 2,900 m, taking in the main Malvern ridge and the Worcestershire Beacon, its highest point. Runners on the shorter races are bussed out to Berrow Green, Suckley or British Camp for staggered starts. Runners navigate for themselves. Worcestershire Way waymarks help, but you are expected to carry the GPX, OS Explorer 150 or the organiser's directions, plus compass and whistle. Volunteer pacers aim for 11, 12 and 13-hour finishes. It is cup-free, and finishers get hot chilli at the end.
