What you’re in for
A 5km, a 10km and — new — a half marathon in the grounds of Scone Palace outside Perth in April, with the 10km and the half also taking a lap of Perth Racecourse next door. The palace grounds are parkland and woodland along the Tay; the racecourse is flat turf. The 5km is 5.0km, the 10km 10.0km and the half 21.1km. Follow the signs for the racecourse to park.
Terrain and trail
Estate drives, parkland grass and woodland path in the palace grounds, then racecourse turf for the longer distances. Flat to gently rolling and firm, with April softness on the grass. Road shoes with tread.
