What you’re in for
Selworthy Stargazer is a night trail run on the high coastal moor between North Hill and Bossington Hill above Minehead, summiting Selworthy Beacon. It is held during Exmoor's Dark Skies Festival. The 10k is a single loop with a cut-through that makes the 5k. The course is undulating, mainly on good tracks, with a couple of more technical sections. The route is waymarked with reflective markers. Every runner needs a head or chest torch of at least 250 lumens. Registration is from 18:15 in the old tank grounds car park, the 10k starts at 19:25 and the 5k at 19:30. There is water at halfway on the 10k but no cups, and medals are an optional extra.
