What you’re in for

Mendip Aurora is a night trail run in the grounds of the Mendip Activity Centre near Churchill, on a traffic-free 5k loop round Sandford Quarry and the centre's land. The course is undulating with a few short, steep climbs. On a clear night there are views over Weston-super-Mare and the Bristol Channel to South Wales. The 10k is two laps. It is the closing round of the Dark Skies series. The course is waymarked with reflective markers, a torch of at least 250 lumens is compulsory, and trail shoes are advised. Registration is from 18:15 and the 10k starts at 19:25.
