The course

What you’re in for

Twenty-two kilometres and 1,100m of climb from Llanberis, on mountain trail through the wild ground of Eryri, five and a half hours — the last race of the Eryri by UTMB weekend in mid-May and the shortest, with one Running Stone for the UTMB index. Less distance but the same country, which is the point of having it.

Terrain and trail

Slate-quarry track and lane out of Llanberis, then stone-pitched mountain path, grassy hillside and rocky trail on the lower flanks of the Yr Wyddfa massif — steep, wet in places, and exposed on the high point. Marked. A trail shoe with grip.
