The course
What you’re in for
Seventy-eight kilometres from the sea at Caernarfon to Llanberis, starting at eight on the Friday evening — coast path first, then remote trail, then high ground, on old paths and quarry tracks through the slate country before the pull towards Snowdon and a descent past the llyns and through old woodland. 2,500 m of climb and sixteen hours. Coast to summit in one line, which is a rarer shape than the distance suggests.
