The course
What you’re in for
This is a 14-mile loop of Lundy in the Bristol Channel, on tracks looked after by the Landmark Trust. It takes in the North Lighthouse, both the east and west clifftops and the island's central spine. Registration, start and finish are on the village green by the Marisco Tavern. The course is fully marked and marshalled, with aid stations at both ends of the island. Most runners travel on the chartered race boat (MS Oldenburg). It leaves Ilfracombe at 9am, the race starts at about 12:15 and the boat returns at 6pm. The boat holds 250 runners, and when it is full so is the race. Non-raceboat entries are also offered for anyone staying on the island. The minimum age is 17, and the race is not refunded if the ferry is cancelled.
