OuterEdge Events puts on tough, mostly off-road races in Devon. Most are on Dartmoor (Pagan Trails, Hameldown Hammer, the Volcano and the Big Day Out crossing) and others are on the South Hams coast (Race The Tide, Race The Light) and Lundy Island, with one island race in West Cork, Ireland. The race director, Mark Brooks, is a long-time ultra runner, and the company has run races in the South West since 2015. OuterEdge distances tend to run long: a half is often 14-15 miles. Expect mandatory kit lists, cupless aid stations, minimum ages of 17-20 on the longer races, and courses timed around tides and daylight. Races hold Trail Running Association permits, and entry is through SiEntries.
