What you’re in for
The same Housesteads-to-Hexham half marathon as the run, walked, on the Saturday. Six miles along Hadrian's Wall Path on the Whin Sill crags, then down to Newbrough and along the Tyne to the finish at Tyne Green. Sixth edition in October 2026. It is 21.7km with 179m of climb, front-loaded onto the Wall. Book the shuttle bus to the start or arrange your own drop-off. Enter the same estimated finish time as anyone you want to walk with.
Terrain and trail
Stone steps, grass and rock along the crags, exposed and up-and-down for six miles; then farm track and woodland, then five flat miles of riverside path. Walking boots or trail shoes for the Wall, and a waterproof — there is nowhere to shelter up there.
